Robert Zhao

Robert Zhao Renhui adalah seorang seniman Singapura multidisiplin yang telah meraih banyak penghargaan internasional. Praktik seninya menyelidiki beragam mode pandangan zoologi manusia, yaitu bagaimana orang melihat binatang. Ia tertarik pada sejarah dan perkembangan pandangan zoologis seiring dengan kemajuan dan mediasi sosial. Praktik Renhui juga menyelidiki berbagai mode produksi pengetahuan dalam arsip kontemporer. Robert Zhao Renhui dianugerahi Young Artist Award pada 2010, penghargaan nasional tertinggi yang diberikan kepada seniman muda di Singapura oleh National Arts Council. Pada tahun yang sama, ia menerima beasiswa pascasarjana dari University of the Arts London.

Robert Zhao Renhui is an international multi-award winning and multi-disciplinary Singaporean artist. His practice investigates the different modes of the human zoological gaze, i.e., how people view animals. He is interested in the history and development of the zoological gaze alongside social progress and mediation. Renhui’s practice also investigates the different modes of knowledge production in contemporary archives. Robert Zhao Renhui was awarded The Young Artist Award in 2010, the highest national accolade awarded to young artists in Singapore by the National Arts Council. In the same year he received a post-graduate scholarship from the University of the Arts London.
